The proprietary Tharo Gemini/Gemini 2 Printer Driver and Gemini/Gemini 2
Control Panel Application, hereinafter called Printer Driver and Gemini
Control Panel, you have received on this diskette are provided for your
use exclusively with the Tharo Printer you have purchased.  Use of this
Printer Driver or Gemini Control Panel in any other circumstance is
strictly prohibited.

These modules have been designed for use under Windows 3.1 or greater.  
The Printer Driver and Gemini Control Panel are not designed for use 
under Windows NT.  The Printer Driver has been used successfully with 
a variety of Microsoft(R) and other vendor products.  After installing
this Printer Driver, its ease of use and the results that are achieved
depend solely on the Windows(TM) applications involved.   Tharo Systems
does not warrant this Printer Driver for use with any specific software,
and does not offer other-vendor application dependent support.

There is limited separate documentation for this Printer Driver and Gemini
Control Panel.  After installation, extensive On-line Help text will be
available regarding the use of the Gemini Control Panel application,
printer specific options, suggestions about using the driver with Windows
applications, and information on barcoding and symbologies.

           *****>  INSTALLATION UNDER WINDOWS 3.1X  <*****

The following steps are required for a complete Gemini Printer Driver
and Gemini Control Panel installation under Windows 3.1 or greater:

-  Insert the diskette into your disk drive.
-  From Program Manager, select the File option
-  Select Run
-  Type 'A:\SETUP', then click OK
-  Follow the Setup Screen prompts, click CONTINUE
-  Path of 'C:\GEMINI' will be displayed, click CONTINUE
-  A choice of which printers, the GEMINI or the GEMINI 2, to install and 
   the language you want the printer driver and Gemini Control Panel to be 
   displayed in.  The listed languages are the choices available.  Highlight
   the correct printer and language, and click INSTALL.
-  Highlight the port the printer will be connected to and click OK.  If
   the port already has a driver installed, a message box will appear.  You
   can use the current port and install the driver, change to a new port or
   cancel the driver installation.
-  The Gemini Control Panel and associated programs will be copied to
   the newly created \GEMINI directory.
-  A box indicating 'successful installation' will appear and will
   contain the message "You must restart Windows to run the
   Gemini Control Panel program".
-  Click the Restart Windows or Return to Windows button.
-  When Windows has been restarted (automatically, or manually after
   closing applications) the Gemini Control Panel Application Group
   will be available for use.




           *****>  INSTALLATION OF MULTIPLE PRINTERS  <*****

Although you can install up to three (3) Gemini or Gemini 2 Label Printers
on one computer, the Gemini Control Panel will only control ONE printer at
a time.  To change to another printer, you must choose 'Change Port' from
the Gemini/Gemini 2 Control Panel and specify which port the printer is
connected to.  See the on-line help for more on 'Changing Ports'

To install a second or third printer to your computer, use the following
instructions:

For Windows 3.1 or greater

-  Insert the diskette into your disk drive.

In the Gemini Program Group, only one Gemini Control Panel Icon will appear,
due to the fact that only one copy of the Gemini Control Panel program can
exist on the same computer.  However, in 'Printers' under Control Panel,
a separate Icon for each printer/port combination installed will appear.
If another printer is to be added, follow the directions above.  Please
remember that only three (3) Printers can be installed on one (1) computer.
